What causes toilet to leak? It sounds like flushing toilet about every 20 minutes, but not completely.?
When I look at the toilet bowl, I see small stream coming down from the top of inside rim toward bottom. My bathroom is in the tiny master bedroom where I sleep and keeps waking me up every 20 minutes. What do I need to fix this?
I agree with Rick's answer, but besides that here is a list for maintaining your toilet. 25% of all water damage claims originate from the toilet. Maintain it well...
To avoid leaking toilets:
•Every few months inspect the entire flushing mechanism.
•When the toilet float reaches the appropriate level it should shut the fill valve off.
•If you notice that the tank continually refills when the toilet is not in use it may be time to replace the flapper or fill valve assembly.
•Inspect the supply line every few months. This is probably the most important one.
•Ensure the connection to the valve is secure and that it works – replace if required.
